Last night was such a perfect evening! There was a wind and storm warning in effect over the majority of the Lower Mainland, which is always exciting. My parents and I were driving on our way to Chinese food last night and the power for the entire street went out with a big boom: pretty cool to see. Thankfully the restaurant still had power and we had an amazing meal. I just love Chinese food...y'know...the North American kind. Hah! Anyway, after Chinese my Mom and I hopped over to this cute little coffee shop called Shaky Monkey. My friend Jess works as a barista there and last night she was having a little concert. I love hearing Jess play. Whenever she house-sits for us she records a new song on my Mac and then I have them all on my Ipod. I'm such a fan. ;) Anyway, here's some beautiful photos of Jess doing her beautiful thing!
She's so entertaining when she babbles in between songs. ;)
Love you Jess!! And you could possibly kill me, but I'm sure people want to hear your music, so I'm going to post these beautiful youtube videos. These videos were recorded by the girls Jess' counselled--on the floor of a camp cabin last summer in Ontario. ;)
This song is called "Lynsey's Song."
This song is called "Maybe"--and it's one of my favourites.
And finally, SOO good. Sheesh, I love her. I love her lyrics and she's just so honest and pure about love and relationships. Amazing. Gotta be one of my favourite "break-up-but-not-bitter-about-it" songs. She's so transparent. SO excited to see what God has for her and her music and her life.

I just love great talent. Us artsy folks, I'm sure we'll all agree, can't help but be amazed when our lives are touched by someone who has worked hard to achieve individuality. You always have a unique way of bringing out the best in each and every subject. Jess's passion is documented well. Awesome! Cynthia
is there anywhere we can hear some of her music?
thanks for posting some videos.
she's very good.
her style is exactly the kind of music i've been loving lately.
i think she should get her own youtube channel and start posting up some videos of her playing her songs.
start to get her music out so more people can enjoy it.
Beautiful photos Jamie and her voice....wow!
great photos jamie! her voice is amazing...such talent. is there anywhere we get her stuff yet?? =)
Good thing those videos are frozen in such unfortunate frames such as my mouth gaping open and such. How flattering for all Jamie Delaine fans to see.
i knew i recognized her when i was there a couple of weeks ago. i walked up to the counter and knew that i had seen her somewhere before! haha... and all because i've seen/read about her on your blog. well, she has a beautiful voice!!!
