denise + brock | engagement

On Friday evening I drove out to Langley, only a couple of blocks from my University to meet Denise and Brock for their engagement session! I had met them both for the first time only about two weeks previous, and just had an absolute blast talking to them about their wedding at Starbucks. Denise emailed me inquiring about wedding photography while I was on my Alaskan Cruise, and it was just the sweetest email. She was just gushing about my work and how she was so glad she found the perfect photographer and that I was available on their date of June 6th. Denise graduated from Trinity last semester, and her fiance Brock is just finishing up his degree this semester. It was great to be able to chat about all things school-related and talk to two 'veterans' in the whole University experience.
They even met at TWU! During the first week of school, there is an Orientation Week for all freshman and new transfer students. There are a huge group of students that volunteer to be leaders and helpers during this week. Denise was one of the leaders, and Brock, a transfer student, didn't know where to go next. He went up and talked to Denise and they haven't stopped talking since! They are SO much fun and I was very inspired by this shoot; I had an amazing time actually getting out of the office and out of the books and spending some time doing what I love.

There's this great vintage gas station right near where Brock lives.
They have the best smiles!
This willow tree is directly behind Brock's apartment building; it's been a favourite of both of theirs since he's lived there.
This old car was such a SCORE! When I location scouted I had no idea it was hiding in the weeds.
Told you it was a score.
Amaaaaaazing; Denise is too beautiful.
Even though it was thick clouds everywhere, the sky was so calm and felt a little 'stormy' to me; kind of dramatic!
I love this rusted wall I found. These two totally know how to work it!
Check out this location; fantastic.
