steve's birthday
Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 11:55 AM
Sunday night, Sarah, Vicky, Natalie, Andrew and I were invited to Steve's birthday party at the White Chocolate Grill in Naperville. Steve is a photographer as well, who has assisted Sarah in the past and is just starting to get into weddings as well as portraits. It was a lot of fun, and it's safe to say we were laughing the entire night through. The food at the White Chocolate Grill was just amazing! And they had some really great decaf coffee; which I'm always a fan of, obviously!
I have to say, we all lived up to the dress code of "Dress to Impress"--Steve is a real fan of fashion, and he wanted the dress code to be stylish and sophisticated. I think we definitely were. How fun is getting dressed up?? So fun. One of my favourite parts about hanging out with Sarah is that we are the same pant size. Yesterday we were at the Chicago Premium Outlets and I tried out a pair of ash-gray skinny jeans. She loved them and we went up to the till together with two of the exact same jeans. That being said, I wore her amazinggg wool jumper from Banana Republic to dinner and just loved it.
A sweet self-portrait.
Sarah at dinner!
Me, doing my best model pose outside. Please excuse the blurry photos.
The whole group outside the restaurant.
Happy Birthday Steve!
Ok, I have a story about this. For some reason the topic of learning how to tie a tie came up, and then Steve and Andrew got into a pretty intense tie-tying battle. I love this series.
After watching that epic battle, Sarah and I decided to give it a go with our necklaces. Who could put our necklace on the fastest...WITH our eyes closed. Yeah, I won! Woohoo.
I just love this. So amazing. Randomness and quirkiness makes me so happy sometimes.
And here's a fun slideshow of our evening!!

Hey, I met you when you were interning, but I was wondering where'd you get the song to this slideshow?
Hey Abby - I would have emailed you back but I can't find your email. The song is "Brand New Colony" by Postal Service--the guy singing is Ben Gibbard, he's in Death Cab for Cutie as well.
