jason + nicole | "engagement"

The temperature in Vancouver was just beautiful last week! I met Jason and Nicole on a very warm and humid Friday night where they live in Crescent Beach. I just adore this little community. It is right on the water, full of neat little alleyways and grassy patches, and lots of colorful buildings. Nicole brought her sister Stacy along to be the appointed "dog-watcher" when Nicole and Jason's two dogs, Onyx and Brandi were not part of the photos. :)

The reason I titled this an "engagement" session is that Nicole and Jason were legally married last year, but are planning to have the wedding they never had this year on September 21, just a few weeks away! I am so honored to be their photographer. Nicole also happens to be Dean's (of Tamara+Dean) sister, whose wedding I shot in May. I was so excited to be given the chance to be a part of another event in their family's life.

I loveeee this shot! It's like a little family photo. :)












After we got a few shots with the dogs, we focused on just Nicole+Jason!
