I started my day with my biggest guilty pleasure. Two pieces of rice bread with almond butter, two scrambled eggs, a cup of coffee and...(no my guilty pleasure is not breakfast!) The Bachelorette Finale.
Oh, I just love it. Yes, it's stupid. No, I would never date multiple guys at once. No, I would never kiss a handful of different men within the same week. No, I would never go on the show. Yes, I shamelessly enjoy every season of The Bachelor and the Bachelorette. So sue me!
I watched the Bachelor season when Brad (total jerk!) was the star and watched him turn down two beautiful girls, Jenny and DeAnna (but I always loved DeAnna) and then have no answers for them during the "After the Final Rose" special. I was so excited when I heard DeAnna was the next Bachelorette! I didn't watch the first half of the season (no time for TV some weeks) but I have watched the last month of episodes consistently. My verdict? Jason is the one for me. Hah!
I was not really that shocked at all when DeAnna picked Jesse last night. Fine, have your professional-snow-boarder-half-the-year-not-sure-how-i'm-going-to-make-a-living-after-i-can't-snowboard / "blow-it-up"-nugs-giver. Yeah. Check out that completely unfair description of the guy! I'm harsh, I know. But to give him credit, he was sweet and adventurous and different and unique and cared about her and I'm sure they'll be happy: obviously she has different taste than me. Oh, side note: she has fantastic style!! Seriously, every outfit she wore was so great! And their wedding date is May 9, 2009: wonder who their wedding photographer will be?
I knew what her decision would be and saw it coming, but hated to see Jason get so involved and so crushed, especially when he's so well-dressed all the time (kidding! sort of.) Y'know, when I started typing this entry, I really had no intentions of getting into all this detail about the Bachelorette or the fact that I love a well-dressed dude.
Alas, it was a Tuesday and Tuesday is always sort of a funny day. Monday is always super productive for me. Back in the office, emails to answer, orders to ship, entering bills to do, etc. Tuesday is all the leftover little tasks that I pushed aside on Monday. I picked up a package from the post office, went to the bank and dropped off a client order in Langley yesterday morning then I went to my friend Shawna's and vegged for a couple of hours with her and her fam. I got to watch her make another beautiful cake, this one for her mom Joanne's birthday which was yesterday. (Happy Birthday Jo!)
Isn't this great? I got to watch the whole process:
She's so talented!
