double-packing
Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 10:42 AM
Right now I'm frantically packing for two events; Chris and Lesia's wedding (which I'm leaving for in 3 hours) as well as my San Francisco flight tomorrow morning (which I have to leave the house at 9AM for!) Packing my bags for a wedding is one thing, making sure all batteries are charged, equipment is all accounted for and clean, memory cards erased and re-formatted, laptop charged, business cards, ack; it's a lot. I won't be back from this wedding until after midnight and after backing up all the files will probably crash in bed at 1:30AM. Then it'll be up and at 'em in the morning, as well as last minute packing. Because honestly, I am the worst packer. I always, always, always forget something obvious. Like pajamas. Or toothpaste. Or a hairbrush. No joke.
My favourite thing about flights though is reading: all I need is one good book and the time just flies by. I picked this two-volume John C. Maxwell book up at Costco last night and can't wait to start it! It contains The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork and Winning with People.
Have a fantastic weekend. I will probably blog Chris and Lesia's wedding next Wednesday and my San Francisco wedding+trip after that. :) Be patient!

Haha I always seem to forget something too and its usually something you can't borrow like a toothbrush, I have had to use my finger with toothpaste so many times at camp! Its embarrassing!! haha
I just met John Maxwell at my church! Love his books. :)
