all ready to go!

This is my 'I'm all packed up and ready to fly to Chicago so double thumbs up!' face. I have many different expressions, y'know. Woah. I cannot believe it's July 28th already. The last few weeks before a trip always fly by and these last few days were no exception. With my four local weddings, and travelling to second-shoot a wedding in San Francisco, quite a few portrait and engagement shoots, working on a new website and deciding on new promotional materials: I am pooped to say the least. Combine that with the never-ending 'to-do' lists to ensure my camera and personal stuff is all packed for my trip makes for a very hectic time.
I am SO excited to meet Sarah and to settle in with her family for the next week and a bit. I also can't wait to see Chicago, because out of the twenty-five US states I've been to, Illinois is NOT one of those! I'm also excited for just a nine-day break--honestly, I love my job, but I have never experienced a more crazy month in my entire, entire life. Complete exhaustion defines me right about now. I'm looking forward to a refreshing time in a new city with new friends.
My Mom, Brother, Aunt and I are stopping by the hospital to meet my cousin Kristy and her husband Vince's new baby boy!! We waited up late last night to hear the news. Kristy's Mom lives about two hours away, and by the time she heard about the labor and caught a ferry, she wasn't at the hospital until 11:45PM. The baby was born at 10:03pm and weighed 7 lbs 13 oz! We didn't get the phone call until 12:35AM, because Vince wanted Sharon, Kristy's mom to see the baby and know the gender first. The boy's name is Caleb Hunter--isn't that cute?! I'm sure I'll snap a few photos.
Happy Monday, everyone. Wish me safe travels!
