my weekend.

What a weekend this was. Yesterday I photographed Christopher and Eden's beautiful wedding in North Vancouver, which will be coming on the blog (realistically) by Tuesday. Today I spent the afternoon right after church and lunch with my cousin Lance, driving all around the Lower Mainland. I live in Surrey, and I met Lance at his house in Langley, then we drove to Aldergrove then Abbotsford then back to Langley and then I drove back to Surrey! We covered 100 kilometres in 2 1/4 hours, and took photos of four different houses, both interior and exterior shots. Not too shabby huh? I'll post a few of those on the blog later this week as well.
They were all absolutely beautiful houses! Lance kept mentioning that it was going to be a fairly boring "shoot" but I loveeed looking at the unique craftsmanship of all the homes. What can I say? I grew up with parents who loved to build houses, and when they weren't building a house they were thinking about it, or thinking about renovating, or renovating, or just spending a random Saturday walking up and down the aisles of Home Depot. I resented it in my childhood, but now I embrace it. ;) One of my favourite things to do on a Saturday off is to open the paper and find a lottery home, or a new real estate development and walk through some of the model homes.
The picture above I snapped at Lance's parents (Grant and Cheryl) place in Aldergrove. You may recognize the red barn from Lance's family pictures I took back in February. That was a really fun shoot as well. Now, I'm going to quickly slip into a dress and some heels and I'll be out the door to my old church to attend my cousin's Graduation Banquet. I'm sure it will be a fun evening with family and friends. Plus...who doesn't like slideshows of baby pictures, especially ones where you may make a cameo appearance? I'm not sure; because I sure do.

Jamie, what a lovely landscape. Not only an excellent portrait and wedding photographer, but landscape photography as well? Is there nothing you can't do?!
I LOVE graduation slideshows... my sister graduated yesterday and though I had already seen the slideshow multiple times - and I had taken many of the images - I still greatly enjoyed it. Have fun at your cousins graduation!
FUN FUN FUN - Can't wait to see the images from both the wedding & house tour de la Lance...I love his houses!
Beautiful! I love barns and landscapes!
