My cards finally arrived in the mail yesterday! I was so excited as I opened the box, but it always scares me when I order something new. I'm afraid that I'm going to spend all this time designing it and sending it off to the lab and then open it and have it be wrong. It's never happened to me before, but for some reason, my first thought when opening a package is: there's going to be something wrong with it.
I think its because I'm translating my regular restaurant experience to press printed products! Haha. Because of my many food allergies, I always order really complicated and high-maintenance items when we go out to eat. It's not only my allergies, it's my allergies couple with the fact that, I don't like tomatoes! And I don't like mushrooms! And I don't want celery on my salad! When I'm ordering food I feel like I'm Meg Ryan in Harry Met Sally with all her complicated orders and conditions. It's really quite a joy to watch me order food.
Anyhow; the cards turned out fabulous, I just love them! I don't think you can tell from the photos, but they have this great shiny "sheen" on the front and back, almost like a laminate. Then inside it just a matte finish, so it's great for writing a personal note. I've been getting in the habit of sending a thank you note to all new wedding clients right after they book, as well as whenever I ship a portrait album, or even a print order. I LOVE getting things in the mail (hint hint!) so I figured handwritten notes were a neat idea for my business. Before these cards came, I was just using a package of thank you notes I found in the store with my blue brand color on it, but I have to say, I think these are much prettier!
