Kristina and Marshall are planning an awesome wedding for August 31st and I'm so excited to be a part of it! I met up with the two of them and their adorable dog, Scarlett, for some engagement photos around their apartment in Port Moody, B.C. I love my job because it gives me so many opportunities to see different areas of the Lower Mainland that I would just never get to if I wasn't shooting there! The downside is...I hate driving, and I hate traffic, and often I have to drive to these places two times; once to scout locations, and then twice to actually shoot. But that's a very small price to pay for getting to hang out with neat couples such as these two.
The two of them have such a neat story that I found out through their wedding site they set up for friends and family that are coming to the wedding. They dated for a few months in high school, years ago, and then Kristina moved away to Denmark for 8 years after graduation. They re-connected at a mutual friend's wedding and they've been dating ever since! Marshall even lived with Kristina in Copenhagen for six months before they both moved back to Canada. How neat is that?
We started off at this cute, cute, cute little farmer's market right near their apartment.
Doesn't she have beautiful eyes?
Family of three.
Scarlett definitely deserved her own photo.
A few of the blossoms were just starting to come out!
I loved the jacket Kristina wore for some of the photos, it added so much colour to the shots.
This area had so many blossoms, it was beautiful! Kristina + Marshall mentioned that in about three or four weeks time, the whole village will have blossoms on the trees. How beautiful would that be?
Scarlett, just chilling.
Back to the produce for a few.
They always kiss while picking up groceries. Hah!
We drove to Rocky Point Park for a few photos along the pier.
There was a big group of Seniors, stretching and warming up for their Rowing/Kayak/Canoeing club, and we passed them on the way down the pier. While we were leaving, Kristina goes, "Let's get a photo in the middle of the rowers!" Hey, those sound like my kind of clients. :) I think Marshall was a little shocked that I actually took this shot. Remember that couples: anything random you throw out there for photo ideas, I will most likely do it!
We finished at the Station Museum nearby.
Thanks again Marshall and Kristina, I'm glad the weather worked out for us yesterday. I can't wait to be a part of your wedding day and capture all you have planned.

Hey Jamie... I saw your video on Liana's blog and just thought you were the neatest thing!!
I also think your pics rock too! :)
Have a bless-ed day.
I used to live right by there for 17 years, and I love what you did with newport village! We always went there after the beach (best gelato at Casa Dolce) and I've never seen it like that before.
Good finds! You are truly amazing.

I really like these, especially the one of them under the tree blossoms. The dog is great too! Great job:)
