sunsets and smiles | day five

We really didn't do much today, we're quite pathetic! After a late breakfast at Coco's Bakery Restaurant we went to Target where I scored some deals. I was in need of some casual shoes, so I bought two pairs; each for $14.99--can't beat that price!
This afternoon, we went to the pool for the first time. It's been a little too cold to swim or lay out in the sun for the past three days, so it was great to get out there today. I'm on the last chapter of The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields. I bought it at Value Village before our vacation, simply because it was cheap. That's what I do; how I buy books. It's kind of bad, but hey! Well, that's not entirely true. I usually go to Value Village or the Clearance section of Chapters, and I pick up whatever catches my eye. I picked up the Stone Diaries because it won the Pulitzer Prize. If it's good enough for the Pulitzer Prize committee, it's good enough for me.
We just had a steak BBQ on our patio around dinnertime, and I snapped a few shots of the beautiful sunset.
Brandon snapped some shots of my Mom and I.
He got a little unconventional with his angles, but I give him credit as a photographer. You gotta experiment to see what works! At one point he was laying on the ground right under us. Oh Brandon... :)
