i have happy teeth!

Ok, first of all, does that animated thing up above not make you just want to smile or laugh out loud? It did for me. I typed in "happy teeth" into google, and that's what I found on the first page. Hah! I knew I had to use it in a blog post. Why do I have happy teeth you may ask? Well, here's why. And if you don't care to know, there's a navigation bar up above with a link called "categories" and then you can re-direct yourself to something more photography-related. But all work and no play is just ridiculous, in my opinion.
So, last week I went to the dentist for a check-up that was long overdue (it had actually been two years!...how bad is that!). Now, I have very good oral hygiene, just for your info. I can't stand the feeling of dirty teeth. The first thing in my morning I can barely waiting to get into the bathroom and brush. Then I brush after breakfast, and then when I get home for the day, usually after dinner, and in general, before I leave the house anytime! So we're talking four or five times a day average. And I floss. Well, the dentist found three (!) cavities. I was so frustrated. But, he assured me that some teeth are just more prone to cavities and I shouldn't feel bad because I was doing everything right--brushing, flossing. My brother, on the other hand, never gets any cavities, and brushes about once a day...and ineffectively I'm sure. But that's a pity party for another time...
The last six months I've been feeling my wisdom teeth coming in, so he also took x-rays of my teeth. In the X-ray that the dentist had, it looked as if my wisdom teeth were impacted sideways in the back of my mouth--which equals surgery to remove them. My mom had the same surgery when she was in her twenties, so I figured I would eventually have to as well. He then referred me to the Ortho where I went yesterday to get a full 360 degree scan of my mouth situation to see exactly where the wisdom teeth were coming in, & how they were coming in.
Surprise! The smaller X-ray at the dentist was wrong!! (You could only see the very tip of the wisdom tooth and it looked quite diagonal.) My wisdom teeth are coming in just fine. It was really neat to see the big X-ray. I counted. 32 teeth. Well. I have 28 1/4 right now, but when the other 3 3/4 wisdom teeth come in I will have 32 teeth.
Happy teeth. :)
