it's nice to be appreciated.

A day after my last entry, Saturday morning, I opened up my mailbox and there was a letter from Trinity Western University. Now, TWU seems to like multiple forms of contact, repeatedly. I always laugh, because when I got accepted, I was informed on the student portal, emailed, called, and got a letter sent. By the letter, I was thinking, Come on! I was smart enough to get in, shouldn't I know I've been accepted? Just kidding! Also, upon acceptance, I confirmed over the phone that I was recieving a $3000 Academic Scholarship based on my grades. But this letter said...






WOAH! $24,000 - their President's Scholarship, $6000/year, renewable for four years. I could hardly believe it. It was such a gift from God, seen as I had a brutal workload on the weekend. After opening the letter, I sat with my laptop at the kitchen table and wrote a paper for four hours. And then did it again on Sunday. Isn't it true that God knows the motivation we need? The news kept me excited all weekend, I could hardly stop smiling. It's nice to be rewarded and feel appreciated for everything I have poured my energy into over the last few years (well, if we are going to get specific, thirteen years of schooling!)
