#1 - artists i love.

I've been wanting to do this for a while, and needing a well-deserved break from studying, there is no time like the present. Obviously, as a photographer, I crave creativity and art. I love it. I can't imagine a life NOT creating. Scrapbooking, random painting, music, architecture, graphic design, interior design, culinary art; it's SO great. My favourite TV channels are Home and Garden TV and the Food Network; how SAD, right? :)
The first artist I wanted to feature on my "people i love" posts is Sarah Richardson and her design team. Sarah Richardson is my absolute favorite interior designer and she has a couple of shows on frequent rotation on HGTV. One of the best is Design Inc.; her team's designs are consistently impeccable. I seriously want to hire her to design my whole house someday. I especially have a love of kitchens. Isn't that weird? I always feel like seventeen-year-olds should be thinking about something else than the kitchen they'll have one day. It's especially odd because I'm not really a cook or anything, I just LOVE design and being surrounded by great design. I'm seriously SO excited to share all the people that are on my list of "I wish I could be you!!" over the next few weeks.

Top Left: Completely adorable nursery Sarah designed just in time for the arrival of her first baby. Top Right: My ideal kitchen. Lots of white. A beautiful palette of smokey greys and blues, crisp, clean, LOVE the stove backsplash. Middle Right: Gorgeous dining room, don't you think? A tad formal for my taste, but it can be fun to have a formal dining room. I adore that orange. It reminds me of my favourite season. And last but not least, the bottom middle dining room? Are you kidding me with that green wallpaper? I LOVE GREEN! And a touch of orange with the flowers on the table. Fan. Tas. Tic. :)

Haha good to see another Sarah fan :) Me and my girlfriend had a chance a few weeks ago to do a walk through of that multi-million dollar home Sarah designed here in White Rock for that 2008 Giveaway! The draw is at the end of this month, so if you are a HUGE fan of Sarah, I would reccommend going to see this place in the next 5 days, because after that... the owners might look at you funny for standing in their kitchen! :)
I too am a fan of S.R. and would love to have her job...house, heck I would just like to meet her ;)
