...it's so wonderful I needed to title it three times. :) I apologize, first of all, I feel like such a terrible, bad, neglecting blogger. Everyday that goes on I don't blog I think "I should be blogging."
I have three things to blog about. Let's start with my Mom and I's Gingerbread night. We had SUCH a fun time. I love my mom, because she's not really "crafty" or "artsy" like I am, and like to be, but she bought two gingerbread kits so this year, she could make one with me as well. It's so much more fun doing it with somebody than just alone.
We had Chai Tea...and the beautiful wonderful movie, set in one of my favourite cities in the world, New York: Serendipity. (Who doesn't like John Cusack?) It was such a wonderful evening. Oh! and a funny story. You see the Gingerbread men around the houses? Ok, well my mom had 3 on her house, lying down in the "snow" making "snow angels" and I had one welcoming all the guests to the front door. Well, my dog stole one gingerbread man from her house per day, FLAWLESSLY. We didn't catch on for a few days because there would be no mess. Anywhere. She left it about five days after all my mom's were gone and we assumed she didn't recognize my gingerbread man because he was standing up. We were wrong. I got home yesterday and there was icing spread ALL OVER the kitchen and on the floor. My dog is sneaky!
My Mom's house on the left, mine on the right.
Close-ups of my Mom's creation.
And of mine! I love my gingerbread man. Too bad he's in my dog's stomach now! (Or rather...out in the yard.)
Now, this past weekend, my school hosted a Grad Christmas Banquet for all the graduates of 2008. (How cool is being a Senior? Very!) Here's two pictures my mom snapped of me before I left.
And here's a snapshot of us at the banquet!
The banquet ended at around 10PM and my family loaded up the car and drove down to Seattle (Redmond) or the weekend. We got in after midnight and had such a wonderful weekend. I LOVE hotels and weekends away. (Am I born to be a destination wedding photographer or what?) We had an amazing sleep and the Remond Marriot has a morning breakfast to-die for. Plus free internet downstairs. Oh and did I mention its part of a huge outdoor mall with Borders, Seattles Best, Starbucks, American Eagle, Abercrombie, Express, GAP, Macy's, and everything else you could ever imagine needing or wanting? My parents went to a concert on Saturday night at OverLake Church (Michael W. Smith and the Katinas)--My Mom and I saw Michael W. in the elevator in the afternoon as well. I scored some really fun deals, like the jacket I'm wearing in the pictures below as well as THESE awesome shoes. I really love shoes.
And LAST night, we went over to my cousin Kristy and her husband Vince's house for our "Dougall" Christmas (My mom's side of the family). Kristy and Vince are unable to be with us on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, so we had a dessert night at their beautiful house to make up for it.
Kristy has great style. I love her house!!
My cousin Mackenzie, Me and my brother, with Kristy and Vince's dog Bella (Maltese Shitzhu) and Mackenzie's parents dog, Ziggy (Weiner Dog!) We love them. :)
I TOLD You I had a lot of blogging!!!
Enjoy Christmas. 5 days away. :)
