Oh what a beautiful, beautiful day! I've been realizing lately that almost every portrait session and wedding day blog post I write starts with a description of the weather. But how can I help it? I check the weather network literally every day leading up to the shoot. Saturday's family session was no different! The forecast called for 90% chance of rain, and we had anything but rain, in fact, it was arguably the nicest day in November yet! The sun was out in full force and it just made for some absolutely glorious light.
Shabbir and Lesley and their two children Wes and Kendra are such a treat. Lesley heard about my work through my friend Jess (here, here, here and here) and her family. Turns out Lesley and Shabbir were youth pastors at the church Jess' family used to attend a few years back! They've been family friends for years, so it was neat to hear about that connection. Seriously, such a photogenic family: I just could not get over how cute everyone was while I was snapping away. Thanks again Bell family!
Look at little Wes!! He was SUCH A JOY! He is 5 and Kendra will be 1 year in a few weeks and he is just enthralled and captured by her. He has the cutest giggle.
Check out Wes' air! He had some major bounce.
Love these two of Kendra.
Those eyelashes!!
I can't say enough about how sweet these kids were together.
Possibly my absolute favourite family shot from the session. So candid!
That laugh again. :)
We finished up the shoot at Lesley's friend's beautiful house nearby.

Hey Jamie, Once again it's me Cynthia from Little Rock, Ar. These photos are the some of the best that you have done. Did you use any of your actions? If so which one and do you use your actions very often. I have considered buying them. Would you share with me the lens that you used for this shoot and did you use a fill flash. I have a devil of a time getting crisp photos especially in the eyes. Also do you white balance your camera or just shoot raw? Please help! Thanks and I can't wait to see what's new! cynthiarankin@mac.com
what a great session! love your work.
