taylor turns five!

I had big plans for Taylor's birthday. I wanted to really celebrate in style! I was going to make cupcakes, I was going to ice them freshly, I was going to have sprinkles galore, and I was going to have five, perfect candles -- one for every year of her life so far! Then today came.
At 5:00pm, I figured I should do something in celebration for my little baby before I left for my engagement shoot this evening (just got home! more on that later!) Dang. No shopping for ingredients + my lack of baking skills = no birthday cupcake for Taylor. I searched the fridge: no dessert. I searched both freezers in our kitchen: no frozen dessert. Ah ha! The deep freeze in the crawlspace. Bingo. Found a carrot cake muffin that my Grandma probably made last Fall. Into the microwave it went, and then I wet the top and put sprinkles on it with five mismatched candles.
Isn't that SAD? The good INTENTIONS were there, I just have to work on the follow-through alright? Get off my back. :)
The lit candles scared my dog: she's a wuss.
She's SO good! All my training during the first year paid off, she doesn't eat what is in front of her unless you tell her she can. Good Taylor!
Wondering why she isn't allowed to blow the candles out...
She eats.
She likes.
