women's christmas gala

I don't know about you and your family, but it seems that last year's Christmas season didn't feel like Christmas. It snuck up on me, really fast last year, and I found agreement with everybody I talked to!
I have no idea why that is, but talk about the opposite this year. I heard a Christmas song on the radio three weeks ago, Sears has been decorated since the middle of October, we bought a new Christmas tree this week, and I'm listening to Christmas songs already.
It's so nice! Christmas is my favourite holiday and absolutely worthy of becoming a two-month celebration. Well, on Saturday night, the Christmas season was officially kicked off! Myself, my mom, aunt and grandma attended our church's annual Women's Christmas Gala. It's always fun to get dressed up and head out for an evening.
Mom & I:
My Aunt Lyla & I:
The decor team for the church is phenomenal! They have amazing ideas each year. This year was an elegant black and white theme, with a touch of hot pink. Think white feather christmas trees, bold black and white patterns, hot pink silk ribbons, white lanterns; it was beautiful.
This year is also the busiest (in a very good way!) time of year, but somehow I didn't think it would in terms of photography. I've been proved wrong and I'm so thankful. :) I have 2 sessions coming up within the next two weeks, as well as two fundraisers in our community, one at a school and another at my church, where I'll be donating a Jamie Delaine photo session. The first is this Saturday night, and I'm also donating two framed prints of my travels to Europe.
Enjoy your week! :)
